Face Cream : What is it?
| A face cream is a skincare product that helps improve or maintain the elasticity and texture of the face. It is an emulsion of water and oil base with a thicker consistency than lotion. It contains an emulsifier agent, preservatives, and additives in percentages depending on the intended formulation.
Face creams moisturize the face to keep its skin smooth, firm, and supple. They can also be formulated to restore the skin's health, reverse the aging process, protect the skin from the damaging effects of the sun, contain antioxidants, prevent or cure acne, control oil production, clear the skin of pigmentation, reduce the size of pores, and eliminate other skin impurities. Face cream is usually applied after cleaning the face during the day and at night before going to sleep. |

Barrier face cream
Barrier face creams lock moisture on the skin for a short period. They can come in the form of protective cream, healing cream, night cream, sunscreen, and cleansing cream. Barrier creams should be washed and rinsed off after so the skin can breathe again and emit toxins.
Daily moisturizer face cream
A daily moisturizer face cream is absorbed in the epidermis quickly (just like lotion). It allows the skin to breathe while drawing in moisture and hydrating the skin. It can be used daily after a bath and as a foundation under makeup.

Base: For normal and oily skin, choose a water-based face cream with ingredients such as jasmine tea, herbal water, calendula, aloe juice, and vegetable glycerin. For dry skin, get an oil-based face cream with ingredients such as olive oil, avocado oil, cocoa shea and butter, castor oil, and wheat germ oil.
Packaging: To prevent the face cream from being contaminated when you touch it, choose a product that comes in a pump dispenser or tube, or with a spatula for scooping the cream out.
