Welcome to the world of advanced styling, where curling irons heat up in less than a minute, where you can choose between 15 different temperature settings for any hair type, and where, if left unattended, your curling iron automatically turns off. Conair's 1-inch curling iron is ideal for creating those medium-to-large bouncing curls. Featuring dual voltage settings, the iron allows you to select either standard North American 125-volt or 250-volt foreign electricity operation, so you can use your curler when you're traveling abroad. Its sure-grip handle has a patented design for greater control and precision, and the electronic on/off touch pad is easy to use. If you forget to turn off the curler (too busy fending off your admirers, we assume), it will automatically shut itself off. With that 60-second heat-up time and a flashing indicator light that lets you know when you can start styling, you'll have playful curls to impress within minutes. And with a two-year limited warranty, you'll be curling for years to come. --Ariel Meadow Stallings

    wrong picture - E. Young, Mar 25, 2008

I LOVE this curling iron. It is great but after several years the spring will break inside and you need to replace. I bought this and when I received I found out that Conair has replaced the metal stand that is in the picture with a cheap little piece of plastic that does not even hold up the curling iron. I have to return because it ruins the whole product. Beware, I also went to Target and that is how they are making them now. They need to correct the picture.

    Great product - SGM, Jan 21, 2008

I purchased this curling iron to replace one that I had two years ago. While they're virtually the same model, this one has a "turbo" button, which I don't think really makes a difference. It heats up quickly and has various settings for all types of hair. My old one stopped working after I repeatedly stored it with the cord tightly wrapped around the handle--so I wouldn't do that..
Overall, a great product for the price..it beats higher end curling irons.

Love it! - Brenda Kovach, Sep 15, 2007

I've had many curling irons over the years, and this one is the best, by far. It heats up very quickly, and makes beautiful curls quickly. The only thing that frustrates me a bit is the piece that flips down to make a "stand" for it when you place it on your counter. I always need to flip it back when I pick it up to begin a curl, then flip it back down so I can set the curling iron on my counter. I wish there were some way that it flipped through gravity or automatically. It creates an extra step. But every curling iron I've ever owned has had that, so this one is no different.
I purchased a 1" and a 1 and 1/4" because I was so happy with the way it curled.

    It's ok - K. Huang, Jul 23, 2006

It's not a professional one, so just expect it can just do what a normal one does. I didn't dare to use high heat, so I stay in 7-9 ( between low and medium) for hotness. Its function is very limited, the size of the curves is not quite satisfying. It's cute on people who have small faces. The curled hairs won't last longer than a day (or maybe even less than half of a day). I will keep it because it is easy to use.
