Rating : Good thermometer, easy to use - Kristine Weeks, Apr 24, 2008
This is a good thermometer, easy to use. It makes a noise when it's done reading your temperature, which makes it easy to take your own. I also like that you don't have to use any disposable parts, which is sanitary enough if you're using it just on your family.
Rating : Not worth the money!!! - Fatme Bahmad, Apr 15, 2008
1) Item looks better on screen than in your hands.
2) When you first turn on the thermometer LCD screen says, "Lo" for Low battery.
3) No off button, to conserve battery power.
4) Temperature is instantaneous but inconsistent, especially if taken in one ear and then the next, usually off by a whole degree. It's far worse when taken simultaneously. You get different results every time.
5) Unreliable. Inconsistent. Not worth the money. Bad choice.
Rating : One of the best I have bought - Pankaj Gupta, Apr 08, 2008
I have bought about four different types of digital thermometers over the last years, for personal use and as gifts. This one is the best. It's small size and back-lit display enabled to put it in my jacket pocket and use inside the plane when I once flew sick - not something I could have done with other thermometers that I had bought.
Rating : I Really Like This - M. C. Russell, Mar 28, 2008
I just needed a handy instant thermometer that worked. This compact little item really gets the job done with no fuss or bother. It is not frightening for children who may dislike being picked/prodded especially when they are not feeling well. You get used to the low beeps which, eventually, do aid in quick relief or growing concern over the presence of a fever. I am a grandmother, so i have tried quite a few of these products over the years, yes, including the old fashioned mercury thermometers and I have found this one to be accurate and very user-friendly. Also, not having to replace lens covers is the best convenience of all..a little rubbing alcohal after use is all it requires. A very nice product that travels well.
Rating : VERY frustrating - Jay, Mar 12, 2008
How would you like to be up at 3am, sick and trying to take a temperature and never get any consistent reading. Last night mine were between 97 and 102. And it has never worked well for anyone in any ear. I am so glad that we saved our mercury thermometer. Still don't know what to do for the babies.
