The massager wasn't as nice as I thought. It was bulkier, and heavier than I anticipated. The quality of the item was less than perfect. Luckily, I was able to return the item with absolutely no hassle.

I have owned two of these and while they are functioning they are quite good. However they do not function for very long. Each broke in the same fashion after 14 months. One I could understand but not two breaking the same way. The problem is they are made with brass internal parts and this is not a strong metal. I contacted Brookstone after the second one quit and their response was essentially "tough".

Spend your money elsewhere for a better product.

I own one. Love it. I want to order two more as gifts but am really concerned that there is absolutely no guarantee on it.

Should it not be at least guaranteed to work when you get it. Maybe 30, 60, 90 days at least?
This is a really good product if it works, and I love the one I own, but I won't buy 2 more without some guarantee that it will at least work for 90 days.
You should not either.

This is one powerful massager! If you like soft, gentle massages, this may not be for you. But if you are someone who can't get enough pressure.... this is the massager to try! I love it, truly.
If you have access to a Brookstone store, it might be a good idea to go try it in person before ordering it from amazon.

This is by far the best I tried. I bought it and have enjoyed it for several years.

Pros: Most intense, effective massage.
Cons: Heavy, so better to have someone else holding it. However, I usually use it on my own back and shoulders.

Worth the money.
