Designed for convenient portability, the irrigator operates on two AA batteries (not included) and collapses to just 6 inches for storage. A drain at the base of the water tank simplifies emptying, and a storage notch holds the included irrigator nozzle between uses. I was told by my dentist to purchase a water pik device for a better cleaning experience with greater plaque removal. I use this device in conjunction with my Sonicare Toothbrush (also recommended by my dentist and periodontist)and my dentist, peridontist, and orthodontist continutally remark on the health of my gums. After having gum surgery for periodontal disease this is a great relief.
You will have to replace the 2 AA batteries every two weeks, however, it's
definitely worth it to be able to take this anywhere at will. I highly recommend this product!
