This is one of the safest body washes on the market. There are no parabens and other benzene based preservatives. Nor will you find formaldehyde based preservatives. The main preservative, potassium phytate is synthesized from rice and bran husks. The scent does not leave me smelling like a hippie, and it moisturizes my alligator legs as well as my former soap, dove cool moisture.
I really don't like the bottle though. The lid is on the bottom so you have to open and close it while battling drippage. The plastic is also flimsy. While I applaud lowering the products ecological footprint, I place greater value on the ability to drop my bottle a couple of feet in the shower and not have it break open.

Nice clean smelling soap. Do not expect much lavender. I've used other lavender soaps (natural) and this is too "lite".
