watch out - emonster, Jul 24, 2008

Be careful with this product if you have sensitive skin. It caused me to break out in a rash all over my legs.

Just Right 4 Me!!!!! - S. Martin, Jun 30, 2008

I have extremely dry skin. For years I'd used Palmer's. It's a great product but too thick. I accidentally found this in Kmart. I do like trying new things on my skin so I was like what the hay. The verdict:I'm in love!!! The body oil, body butter and body lotion is God sent for me. The body oil smells wonderful. It's hard to find in my area so thank God for this site. If you have very dry skin like me, I'd recommend this product.

Greasy, but a may be an option for really dry skin - Veggiechiliqueen, Mar 14, 2008

I read about Vaseline Cocoa Butter Vitalizing Gel Body Oil in a recent magazine article on winter skin care, and decided to give it a try. The first time I "sampled" it in the store, it struck me as too greasy (it's mineral-oil-based), and it seemed to take too long to absorb. The second time I tried it, the pleasant vanilla-like fragrance and moisturizing properties appealed to me. I finally gave in and bought a container last week, and have been using it periodically after bathing (I always apply it with a towel nearby, since this stuff is messy.)

The good: It's made with Brazilian nuts and almond oil in addition to cocoa butter, lending it a rich fragrance. After warming it up between my palms, I applied it to my always-dry skin, particularly my legs and back. It goes on super smooth and felt like a good massage oil, so I ended up massaging some of it in; it's a great tool for relaxation in addition to hydration! It left my skin feeling smooth and pampered for a full 24 hours.

The bad: If you use more than a drop, it has the potential to be extremely greasy and messy. It can and will stain clothes and fabric (hence the towel recommendation). It takes a long time for the oil to absorb, so I stayed in the same place for a good half-hour, not wanting to stain my clothes or upholstery. It's too greasy for an everyday lotion replacement, but would make a great cheap massage oil alternative due to its composition and pleasant scent.

Fabulous! - Mommyof4, Jan 24, 2008

My skin is always very dry, especially in the Illinois winter weather! I tried this product after seeing an ad, and am now hooked! I love it so much, I got rid of just about every other moisturizing product I own. The gel has a wonderful scent, goes on easily, absorbs quickly, and a little goes a long way. This is one product I will keep!

great body oil - A. Hughey, Jan 01, 2008

the oil smells amazing like chocolate icing. its just thick enough that it doesnt run everywhere and make a mess like baby oil. if you use to much it takes a few minutes to absorb into your skin. it made me really soft and my skin feels great but it still looks dull.
