This device appears at first to be an excellent product. However, very soon after I acqauired the product, two errors occurred: (i) the magnetic lid device began to malfunction, since the cutter did not sever the lids all the way around; (ii) and more importantly the product fell apart after two months, because the small pin at the top of the product holding the two halves of the product together fell out or otherwise failed. I was able to reassemble the two halves by reinserting the pin and fumbling around and finally reseating the two halves. However, at this price, such failure so early in the product's useful life is unacceptable.

When the blade on my hand can opener finally went dull after years of use, I regrettably had to part with it.
In the following two weeks, I went through three different can openers including an electric one. All wound up in the trash!
I read the Amazon reviews on numerous can openers from hand operated to electric. I settled for the OXO Good Grip i-series Can Opener. I'm glad I did! This is without reservation the finest can opener ever made!
Throw away the rest of the junk can openers including electric, and get this one. You won't be sorry!

BUY THIS THING!! Best can opener I have ever used. Amazed at the ease of use considering the size. It clamps onto the can so you don't have to squeeze or apply pressure, just turn the drive handle and effortlessly open the can. Then push the un-lock button, remove the lid from the magnet, good to go!! Hope that the life cycle of this product is a LONG one.

This is the best can opener I have ever used. It has a nice grip, easy to use & easy to remove the lid with the magnet thats attached to it. I smile when I open cans now because i dont have to worry how many times it will take to open a can.
