Moonstone : What is it?

Moonstone1

Moonstone is a mineral variety of feldspar common in granite and related rocks.  It has a slightly iridescent, milky white, transparent color with light blue opalescent spots. It has alternating layers of albite that diffuse light over the dome. It also comes in various shades of light peach and gray but is more commonly whitish clear in color.

Moonstone is considered a good luck and as a lovers' stone. It was named as such due to its color that resembles the reflection of the moon.
