Product Description

Large 10.4 quart capacity. The convection oven cooks food in less time than a conventional oven thus saving you money on electricity. Hot air circulates around the food, therefore food cooks and browns fast and evenly. This versatile appliance is one that you can use every day. Meat sears quickly on the outside, sealing juices on the inside. Hot air circulation makes baked goods rise higher and the upper and lower racks allow you to cook a complete meal at one time. The oven includes base with handles, the non-breakable glass bowl, upper and lower racks, lid with timer and tongs for easy removal of racks. Clean up is a breeze with the built-in cleaning cycle.

This seems to be a well built item. The white wire thing was a mystery, no mention in the literature nor on the carton. Finally figgered it is a holder for the power unit, hooks on the side handle and rests on the counter top. The 10-4 sells for $111 on the Deni site, I bought for $67 from AMZ. I baked a round loaf of italian bread on parchment paper on the lower grid. 40 min. @ 400 deg, not done, top was browned but lower half of loaf not browned, internal temp of loaf about 190 deg. I gave it another 30 min.@300 deg. in my Breville convection oven, ended up with a nice 'lil tastey loaf, internal temp read 210 deg. Next will try a higher temp setting on the Deni, this thing has a learning curve.

I heard from a gourmet chef that the best roast chicken is in one of these ovens. And he is right. I really like this oven. It cooks a lot of things and the bread recipe cooks just beautiful.

I visited a friend that had one of these ovens and was so impressed by it that I ordered one for myself. Simple to operate, fast and efficient. Highly recommend this appliance. Vendor also fast and efficient in shipping.

I have had my Deni for at least 8 years and enjoyed using it. I have misplaced the extender ring and cannot get a replacement part. That is my only complaint about the product. I cooked a three pound turkey breast and one sweet potato in 45 minutes yesterday and I was very pleased with how they came out. The turkey was juicy and the large potato perfecly cooked. It is a nice not to have to turn on a large oven for a meal for one person. Ideal for single persons.
