Great oven but don't bother buying a replacement bowl - Sharon Stone, Nov 13, 2009

The oven works well but my glass bowl broke not long after I got it (don't know how it happened). I ordered a replacement bowl from Sunpentown and it doesn't fit very well. You would think it would fit perfectly since it is from the company that manufactures the oven. The bowl was only $25 but shipping was outrageous - over $13! Totally not worth it. You can return items bought from Sunpentown but don't get a refund on shipping and would have to pay to ship it back. I bought another oven from Aldi for $39 and it works great.

Does what it claims. - Old Timer, Sep 25, 2009

Great for summertime cooking. There obviously is some heat generated however nowhere the level of a conventional oven.
The only "con" I have is the lack of even a minimal cookbook. There are general guides printed on the upper unit however since i.e. all chickens aren't the same size and weight a one-time temperature and time doesn't fit all. Also I would suggest making a practice of turning large items over approximately half way thru the cooking cycle for more even results.

Very nice por personal or small family use. - A. Chaverri, Sep 19, 2009

It is a nice unit, I have cooked several meals and find it very useful. I would not use it for beef, because I prefer the traditional way. I cooked chicken, pork and I designed a lower stainless steel rack for small personal pizzas, (275ºF for 12 minutes)..
I gave it 4 stars because, when I used it the first time, the fan was out of alignment and had to take it apart to fix it. Quality control and factory testing is very important. I think it is a well built unit, it looks nice, it does not make noise, the price is OK, I like it very much !!.

Great product! - H. LU, Sep 18, 2009

I always wanted a Convection oven after saw one in my best friend's kitchen. Sunpentown SO-2002 has the best reviews on amazon.com.

It is easy to use, easy to clean, cooks fast and powerful.

The only complaint is the sound is a little loud when it is working.

Sunpentown Convection Oven - P. Garonzik, Aug 28, 2009

This is my first convection oven so I have nothing to compare it with. So far it has done a good job on the limited meals I've prepared with it. Haven't tried the whole chicken yet and am still experimenting with settings. Could use a good a good convection cookbook. I will testify it does a great job as a dehydrator. Apples: 1.25 hr at 221 degrees. Also easy to clean unit.
