It is as advertised. Easy to use, consistent, easy to clean, love the oil storage reservoir. just don't try to fry more than a couple of servings at a time. It is after all not a commercial unit. the best fried catfish, hush puppies and okra I've ever had anywhere. The only negative issue is I use it to often and I'm eating twice the fried food I should be.

This is the best deep fryer ever. I've had it for almost 3 years now and it is as it's called an EZ clean. I take it apart everytime and put it in the dishwasher and I have a non-greasy deep fryer every time. The oil filtration system allows me to reuse oil more than a regular deep fryer. The only con is that the paint coat of fryer has started fading from the dishwasher but if you care more about cleanliness than beauty, this is the one for you.

I have tried several fryers over the years, and this one is the best, hands down. I've had a Fry Daddy and a GE countertop fryer. Neither one could get the oil hot enough, or keep it there. None of them were ever large enough to fry enough food at one time that I didn't have to fry endless batches before everybody got enough fries, or tater tots or whatever. This unit is big enough, holds its heat, and has a nice large oil capacity. But by far the best thing about this fryer is the oil filtration and storage. After cooking, let say tonight when I made home made fish and chips, I just flip the switch and walk away for a couple of hours until the oil gets cool enough. Then the unit AUTOMATICALLY!, filters the oil and stores it underneat the unit in the air tight storage container. Later, I will go and take the heating element out, rinse the remaining parts and stack them in the dish washer. Easy peasy, super easy. And since the oil is stored in an air tight container, it won't pick up funky odors from the air, nor will it make the air smelly with that used oil smell I used to get from my Fry Daddy. This is making the oil useable for more fry sessions. When I am ready to fry again, I just poor the oil into the unit, replace the storage contain underneath, and go ahead and fry some more. I am using this unit more often than I ever did any other fry I had, because the clean up is so easy. I don't dread it. It is really the best unit I've ever used. Well worth a few extra bucks.

This is very nice unit. I bought a TFal fryer 18 years ago, it still worked, but it had a buildup of fried on oil on it from long term use. I was also growing tired of the work involved cleaning the oil after using it. This new TFal fryer (T-Fal FR7008002 Ultimate EZ Clean Pro) was a perfect replacement for old-dependable. I was reluctant to purchase this item after reading reviews of the auto oil cleaning feature making messes. I have NOT had any issues with that feature, I never overfill the fryer with oil. That's the only reason I can think of that would cause problems, just keep the level between the Min and Max lines. Cleanup is a breeze, everything can go into the dishwasher, except for the heating element. The build quality looks good, the element looks like a high quality element. It's a 1700 watt element, it does a decent job of keeping the oil at the selected temperature. I would reccomend this fryer to others. Just note that the fryer is bigger than it appears in the pictures. But the oil cleaning feature makes it worth the extra space consumed.

Although this product is rather large and the basket a little awkward, the filtering system makes any inconvience worth the trouble. It saves a bundle on cooking oil. I would definitely recommend it.
