- Stay-cool plastic handle; 7-1/2-inch-diameter cooking surface
- Simple to use, with dipping plate, recipes, instructions included
This VillaWare crepe maker bakes versatile, paper thin, 7" crepes. Die cast aluminum hot plate for even heating. Xylan non stick coating, ready light and automatic thermostat. Cool touch handle. Dipping plate included. Quicker and easier to use than a skillet, this 900-watt electric appliance simplifies the cooking of crepes and blintzes, making it foolproof. The 7-1/2-inch-diameter cooking surface is coated with nonstick material and is slightly convex. Dipping it into crepe batter coats it uniformly. Inverting the appliance and setting it on a counter (or dining table, for festive occasions) allows the crepe to cook, while the rubber feet protect the counter. The user then simply peels off the crepe. An automatic thermostat heats the cooking surface to the proper temperature, and a light signals when it's time to cook. The crepe maker, which features a stay-cool plastic handle, is accompanied by a plastic dishwasher-safe dipping plate to hold the batter. The crepe maker's instruction booklet contains recipes for various crepes and for blintzes. --Fred Brack Average Rating of 4.00 out of 73 reviews
Rating : Manicotta par excellence - Barry G. Donnelly, Nov 17, 2009
Worked like a charm from the get-go. Every crepe, right from the first one, cooked as promised and came off the crepe maker easily. The crepes rolled around the manicotti filling with no trouble, and the end result could have fooled an Italian chef (we learned this method from our Italian/Irish daughter-in-law, who wouldn't make manicotti any other way).

This is an excellent crepe maker. Very easy to use, and comes with a dipping tray for dipping the crepe maker into. Very easy to use. Booklet includes great and easy crepe recipes, and easy batters to make in a blender in just minutes. I am extremely happy with this crepe maker.

Rating : Great the first try! - Joan M. Stephens, Jul 20, 2009
This was my first attempt at crepes. They turned out great. I used the recipe in the booklet. I made the batter in the blender. Each crepe trully took less than a minute to cook. If you don't like the enclosed plastic dish, don't use it. Use a pie pan. Personally, I thought it was handy and could not get hot enough to be a problem. I was a little sloppy--hopefully, I'll get better at the art of dipping and turning with practice.
