I bought this trumpet for myself as an adult student. It is a beautiful piece and very unique, but it is very poor quality. The case came broken and the trumpet leaks air. There was no invoice included for the company and no information on the supposed "warranty" that is included. For a child student, it might be worth the money since they tend to not stick with it. If anyone is serious about continuing their education though, I would look for a different better quality instrument-or at the very least, plan on upgrading later.

This trumpet looks awesome but the sound is just horrible. I have an old dented trumpet that sounds better than this. Good for kids just starting, but bad if you have been playing a while. Definitely sending this back.

So my son just joined band for the first time and the trumpet he got from school was broken. They sent it in for repairs and after 2 weeks they still haven't even gotten to it. So I bought this trumpet for him so he could keep up with the class. It is black so he will be different from all of the other kids using the brass school trumpets. This makes him feel special and should keep his interest up through the troubling times of beginning to learn. Oh and it looks cool and all the kids are jealous. Brings a smile to his face; so I am happy.

Now for the performance. I am by no means an expert so I will not try to give a professional review. I have read other reviewers talking about sticking keys and peeling lacquer. I am here to tell you I have not experienced any problems with this instrument. It looks beautiful. It plays beautiful (for a beginning 5 grader). No problems with inner workings.

The shipping was extremly fast for regular shipping; so you won't hear any complaints there either.

Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase.

I was very happy to have found an inexpensive trumpet for my 5th grade beginner. I didn't want to spend $[...] on a trumpet not knowing if my son would still be interested next year. At first, I worried the Cecilio trumpet would be a cheap, plastic type toy trumpet, but was pleasantly surprised when it came and found it to be a good beginner's trumpet. My son also thought it was the coolest looking trumpet in his class. The trumpet was also shipped before the "ship by" date. Overall, we are very pleased with this product.
