The 940 Eterna Series is designed for Baroque music and other specialty parts requiring a delicate response and feel. These instruments feature a short model design with a 4 inch yellow brass bell and a .420 inch bore for a more open feel with less resistance and projection. The 940 Series also features Blackburn Louisville leadpipes with trumpet shank. Average Rating of 4.00 out of 1 reviews
Rating : A Very Underated Piccolo - R. Fanning, Aug 31, 2004
Most trumpet players use their piccolos only a few times a year. You'll need it for performances of Baroque music and this usually consists of Handel's Messiah. They also come in real handy for playing Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary, Purcell's Trumpet Tune and other wedding standards (use the A pipe and transpose the D part to F).
While there are other piccolos that play easier and sound better, this instrument does a great job, especially for the price. You'll pay for it in just a couple years of weddings!
If you buy this pic, you'll want to invest in a couple Cliff Blackburn leadpipes (pitched in A and B flat). These will cost you some bucks but you can start with just the A pipe. It will make the instrument blow easier and more in tune.
Listen to plenty of Maurice Andre and enjoy playing your pic!
