The synthetic Fiberskyn 3® head gives an outstanding authentic ethnic drum sound. (Remember, since the head is not tunable each drum will have a slightly different pitch.) This drum is the primary rhythmic accompaniment for Irish folk music. It is typically low pitched and is played with a two-headed cipin (mallet), which is included. The pitch and timbre are changed by the non-striking hand shifting position and applying pressure on the back of the head.
