Display Case : What is it?
| Display cases allow items or collectibles to be viewed without exposing them to harmful elements like dust and sunlight. The cases can be made from wood, metal, or plastic. A glass or Plexiglas (a combination of the characteristics of plastic and glass) panel is usually used as its front cover so that the items can be seen. Recent models now coated glass or Plexiglas panels that can protect the contents from the sun's UV rays. |

Large display cases
Commonly found in stores and commercial establishments, large display cases can store large items or large collections like antiques and jewelry. These large display cases can also be customized to accommodate large collections like model cars. They are also called display cabinets.
Small display cases
Small display cases are custom-fit for certain collectibles and can usually be bought from hobby stores. Most of these display cases have wooden or plastic bases with a cover made out of glass or Plexiglas.
