Low speed buffer

A low sped buffer has a speed of 150 to 200 rpm.
It is used for scrubbing, stripping, and polishing all types of hard floors.
It can also be used for sanding wood floors and shampooing rugs.
Its disc has a diameter of 13 to 23 inches.   

High speed buffer

A high speed buffer has a speed of 200 to 350 rpm.
It is used for scrubbing and polishing hard floors.
It is better at spray buffing than a low speed buffer.
Its disc has a diameter of 13 to 23 inches.

High speed burnisher

A high speed burnisher has a speed of 1,000 to 3,000 rpm.
Its disc has a diameter of 20 to 23 inches.
It generates heat and friction that smoothen and harden floor finishes.
It is capable of high-speed spray buffing that produces a “wet gloss” look.
