A graph paper, quad-rule paper, or graphing paper, is essentially writing paper printed with fine lines that make up a regular grid. The grid is is used as a guide for drawing diagrams and plotting mathematical functions or experimental data. It is used to map measurements onto an x vs. y coordinate system, also known as a Cartesian. Graph paper is typically employed in engineering, mathematics, and laboratory notebooks.
Size: Depending on the detail you want or need, choose a graph paper with the appropriate size, as measured in the sides of the square. A smaller square provides a more detailed graph.
