Laser paper is designed to absorb toner used in laser printers and copiers. It has low moisture content, which keeps it from curling up or discoloring under high printing temperatures. It is usually white and has a smooth, slick surface. Laser paper prints are usually sharper and crisper, but tend to flake off easily.
Weight: Choose printer paper with a weight of at least 20 pounds per ream. This will keep it from creasing ad causing printer jams. For professional documents such as résumés, look for a slightly stiffer type with a 24-pound rating.
Brightness: Choose printer with a high brightness rating to produce more vibrant colors and better contrast. Look for a rating of 88 or higher for printing high-resolution graphics and photos.
