These ash trays hold cigarette ashes. They are not ornate or pretty, but they definitely get the job done. I recommend them if you are a non-smoker who has friends that tend to leave cigarette butts in your backyard. These are unmistakable as ash trays, so everyone knows what to do when they see them. They are heavy plastic, so they are basically indestructible (they won't break if someone drunkenly knocks them over).
