It gives a wonderfully bright light which doesn't reflect on glossy pages like so many other lights do.
In addition, the very small footprint is ideal on a small desk such as mine.
Also, please do not be too worried about not being able to find replacement bulbs - should you ever need one. You can order them directly from Tensor; an order form is enclosed.
Very pleased with it.

The Tensor Full-Spectrum Folding Desk Lamp is the ideal size to fit on the top shelf of a computer desk between the computer and the printer. It provides a bright, clear beam of light that illuminates the desk top better than an ordinary table lamp would. Moreover, it is a relatively inexpensive lamp. I recommend it.

I cannot believe all the good reviews on this lamp. I had mine all of 3 weeks when it died. It was not from the bulb burning out (I replaced the bulb because I thought that was what was wrong). It just died. My nephew (a stage lighting tech) finally took it apart for me to check the wiring and connections and the thing looked intact: it just didn't work. I cannot recommend this product at all. Maybe I got the only lemon in the pack but that's enough to keep me away from investing in another one. I'm giving it one star just for the idea. It is a good idea yielding poor results in my reality.

Compact and bright, but not glaring, this lamp puts the light right where you need it--on the desktop and not in your eyes. I've given this lamp as a gift and always get positive feedback. I'll probably give more for Christmas. A big plus is the full-spectrum light, especially good for "older" eyes.

I have 2 of these. Use it almost every day for about 10 hours. Considering this duty cycle, both lamps had their bulbs last a good 2.0-2.5 years. I only bought the second one because I had a very tough time finding a replacement bulb for the first one. Now the 2nd one has burnt out and I happened to find replacement bulbs. Amazon carries them.
