Aquarium driftwood is an old wood remnant used for decorating aquariums, anchoring plant life, and sheltering fish. When submerged in aquarium tanks, it can turn the water slightly brown and make it softer. It comes in standard, savanna root, African, and Malaysian varieties.
Treated driftwood: Choose a treated aquarium driftwood that sinks on its own so you do not have to weigh it down or submerge it for a long time before use.
