We have three scratching posts at home; the Molly and Friends post, the Ultimate Scratch Post, and a wall-mountable version of the Ultimate Scratch Post. Although the Molly and Friends post is shorter than the Ultimate Scratch post, the cats definitely prefer using it. It's a very well-made post and the carpeting is securely affixed to the post, unlike some of the big box pet store brands. Based on the fact that the kitties climbed on this immediately after it was pulled from the box, I would highly recommend this post.

This product is extremely well constructed! It's much nicer than other cat scratcher's I have owned in the past. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

It's solidly constructed, but my cat doesn't scratch it AT ALL. He sleeps on it.
