If you wish to create a beach, this product works great. It is far easier to buy litter that clumps, remove the cover (which confined the space and works well if you have a very small cat) and scoop out the clumps yourself. This device is terrific at scattering litter through the rolling action over a wider surface that the cat does alone. Surfs up!

Great alternative to the electronic ones. I was always hesistant to shell out big cash for the self cleaning little boxes, so I thought I would give this a try. It is a very easy box to clean and works as outlined. The trick is to use good clumping litter, because the cheap stuff just does not work as well; however, you use a lot less litter, so it ends up being the same price.

This is very clever in its simplicity but the quality is of the product is not very good. The latches are the big issue in my book. They are very cheap. They should be some sort of clamp considering you have to turn this thing upside down. I have had a couple of spills where the top was not secured well by the latches. Very aggravating.
The opening for the poop tray looks like it was cut by hand with a hack saw. Not a very polished look.
Overall, I think it does a good job. However, I think the manufacturer should rethink the latch issue.

I think this produt is fantastic. After trying expensive, noisy mechanical cat boxes that broke frequently, I love the simplicity of the design. It keeps the litter area clean, and it makes the loathful chore a snap. I feel this has solved all my cat box problems. I only gave four stars because of the price, which I feel is high for what is essentially justa piece of molded plastic. However, I also think it was totally worth it, and I would by it all over again.

This is a flimsy mess. The top is a pain to replace and the litter is easily kicked out of the box.
