A wireless dog fence is an invisible boundary used for restricting a dog within a perimeter without the use of wiring. It operates by sending out electronic signals that creates a boundary around the area. A receiver is placed on the dog's collar that produces a warning sound and a static shock when the dog comes too near the boundary.
Calibration: Before buying a wireless dog fence, determine the weight of your dog first, as most wireless dog fences are calibrated according to pounds (weight).
Signal: Choose a wireless dog fence that allows you to adjust the signals so you can control the severity of the static shock. Make sure it has a “temperament” label on the product that allows you to set it for use with “easy to train” or “stubborn” dogs.
