Archery targets come in different forms and sizes, ranging from flat pieces of paper to three-dimensional objects. They are usually made of materials such as solid foam and wood that stop the arrows from burrowing further as soon as they penetrate.
Standard flat bull's eye archery targets are made of thin, flat materials such as paper, cardboard, and thin wooden boards. They are suspended from elevated areas or fixed to stable posts such as walls and tree trunks. They are great for practice shooting. However, serious hunters should not limit themselves to standard targets because they offer limited shooting angles.
Three-dimensional Archery Targets are ‘realistic’ targets commonly made of dense foam materials shaped into animals (such as deer). They offer a wider range of shooting angles than standard flat targets, which is why they are preferred by professional hunters.
Stability. If you want to get a three-dimensional archery target, choose one that is stable enough to stand on its own. It should not be easily knocked down by the wind.
Construction. Also choose a three-dimensional target designed to stop an arrow and prevent it from going through it to avoid damaging property or endangering people.
