Youth league

Youth league uniforms are designed for young players in the Minor League and similar tournaments.
They are smaller and lighter than Major League uniforms. The pants can be shorter than calf length, because some leagues allow shorts.

Major league

Major league uniforms are worn by adult players in Major Leagues and official games.
They are made with tougher and more durable fabrics to withstand the rough contact and movements commonly present in major tournaments. 

Comfort: Choose a baseball uniform that feels light and comfortable. Make sure the material will not irritate or scratch your skin. Cotton-polyester and cotton-nylon blends usually work best. For the shirt, look for light fabrics that will not weigh down on your shoulders. The pants should be padded, but not too thickly as this will make it bulky, which can interfere with your movement.

Fit: Choose a baseball uniform that fits properly over your body. The shirt is ideally a little loose and the pants a little snug. Make sure the sleeves are not too large, because they can flap around as you move which can distract you and other players.

Protection: Although shoulder and hip pads provide most of the protection, your baseball uniform should offer some degree of safety as well. Choose a baseball uniform that provides cushioning and shock absorption, especially on the lower body. Look for well-padded pants that cushion your outer thighs, buttocks, and hips.
