Football Shoe : What is it?
| Football shoes usually have molded or removable cleats on the soles to provide traction for hard or muddy grounds, with an extra cleat at the toe offering extra spring for takeoffs and fast starts. They also have aggressive outsoles to protect the feet from impact during hard landings. Football shoes are usually made of various types of leather. Traditionally, kangaroo leather has been preferred for its durability, although newer varieties such as full-grain, oil-based and water-resistant leathers are also becoming popular. Synthetic materials like polyurethane are sometimes mixed with the leather for protection. |

Kinds of Football Shoes include the following: |
Changeable studded boots Changeable studded boots have detachable studs which can be replaced with different stud lengths to suit different terrain types. They are ideal in areas with frequently changing weather, as the user can use the same boots with different cleats. The cleats are usually screwed on and removed by snapping or turning from the sole. Molded boots Molded boots have multiple studs permanently attached, or molded, onto the sole. Standard molded boots have 16 rubber studs, which provide excellent grip on drier grounds. They are usually more comfortable on natural dry pitches. Astro-turf shoes Astro-turf shoes have hard-wearing rubber soles and smaller, closely packed studs. They are designed for rough artificial surfaces, such as concrete or artificial turf. They are not very efficient on natural surfaces, since the mud can clog and harden between the studs. The midsoles are usually soft and comfortable, designed to absorb shock during hard landings. They have a more natural look than other football shoes, and are often used as casual shoes. Indoor football trainers Indoor football trainers have soft, flat soles designed to grip smooth indoor surfaces to provide traction. The soles are usually made of clear gum rubber, because colored soles can stain the floors. They are not as durable as outdoor football shoes, but are usually lighter and allow easier movement. |

Traction: Choose football shoes that grip the ground or floor for better traction and stability. Make sure they offer adequate spring for jumps and takeoffs. Longer cleats are best for wet, muddy fields, while shorter soles help maintain balance on stiff, dry surfaces. Comfort: Choose football shoes that fit comfortably over your feet. Look for those that are padded on the inside to provide cushioning for your feet. Make sure, however, that the paddings are not too thick and do not reduce your feel of the ground or add unnecessary weight to the shoe. |
