Paintball smoke grenades produce harmless smoke in bright colors (such as orange) to create smoke screens for shielding against enemies in paintball games. They can produce smoke for three to 15 minutes. The smoke can spread in an outdoor area of 30,000 cubic feet to 500,000 cubic feet. Smoke grenades are available in standard and flameless types.
Kinds of Paintball Smoke Grenades include the following:
Standard paintball smoke grenades
Standard paintball smoke grenades can produce over 30,000 cubic feet to 100,000 cubic feet of bright orange smoke. The smoke can last up to four minutes. These grenades have to be manually-ignited. Just pull out the pins.
Flameless paintball smoke grenades
Flameless paintball smoke grenades are ignited by batteries (up to nine volts). They can be remotely ignited. These flameless grenades can produce big smoke screens for police, military, and firemen training.
Time limit: Choose a paintball smoke grenade that produces lasting smoke. Some grenades can produce smoke for only three minutes, others ten.
Smoke range: If you are playing in a small paintball field, choose a grenade that can spread smoke in an area of about 30,000 cubic feet. For larger fields, choose one that can spread in up to 500,000 cubic feet. Never use bigger smoke grenades for smaller areas.
