Practice Paintballs

Practice Paintballs are the .68-caliber balls used in recreational and practice paintball games.
They are filled with liquid in bright colors like yellow, white, and orange.

Tournament Paintballs

Tournament Paintballs come in single or two-tone shell varieties. Their color fills are thicker than those in Practice Paintballs, making them more difficult to wipe off. They usually come in .40-caliber types and in very bright silver, purple, pink, and gold.

Night Paintballs

Night Paintballs are specifically designed for nighttime outdoor playing or indoor playing in low light conditions. They are exposed to light for several minutes, allowing them to glow a very bright green. Night Paintballs can be used with strobe units.

Cold Weather Paintballs

Cold Weather Paintballs are made with medium-thick shells. They are designed for use in 30- to 50-degree Fahrenheit weather conditions. Some models perform better as the temperature in the playing environment drops. Cold Weather Paintballs are available in a variety of colors.

Shells: Choose paintballs with semi-brittle shells that immediately pop so that they do not bounce back when they hit your opponent.  These shells are especially ideal for tournament paintball games.

Fill colors: For playing in natural environments like forests and woods, choose brightly-colored paintballs in orange, yellow, pink, and blue which stand out from the greens and browns of the trees and plants.
