This listing is for a Single Bokken. The boken is constructed of oak with a dark stained finish. The handle of the boken is wrapped in a black nylon cord, just as a katana would be. The boken has been constructed with a high detail to replicate the look and feel of a katana, with a kissak at the end of the tip and a pentagonal spine and blade.

I need a good look sword for a Bleach costume but because i wanted to use it a Con. i had to get a wooded sword. It came in great time and i had alot of fun playing with it. on halloween everyone loved it. but i noticed something my dad loved using it a play with it. so soon after holloween my dad all of sudden bought him one and he said that he was going to "Beat my ass with this" and now my an him are learning how to use them. now the sword are used for what they were made for......kicking BOTH of are asses

ps they really hurt when you get hit by one and the other person doesn't know what his doing -.-

I ordered a product from this company, but needed to change the speed of shipping, order had already been sent by amazon. When i contacted the company, they were very friendly and processed my order while i was on the phone, had it sent by that day (which was Friday) and i had it by the following Wed. I ordered a pair of these to use as film props. When they arrived I was surprised to see that the tsuba (hand guard) was a separate piece of plastic that had to be held in place with a rubber stopped. Not bad, but it needs to be glued into place to stay put. This wasn't an issue with one of the swords, however, the other one was slightly longer and thicker, and thus heavier. Because of this, I couldn't get the tsuba more than half-way down the blade.

Other than that, the swords are fairly durable. A few whacks did a tiny number on the paint job (but, they'll be painted and repainted anyway, so no big issue). The wrapping on the handle is alright, though it could be secured better. Granted, I have no experience with real katanas, so I have nothing to compare these to. At any rate, not bad.

All in all, decent swords. I'm by no means a sword expert, but these served their purpose. Good enough for me.

Great sword. Has a hard durable finish so you can spar with your friends and not hurt it. Pretty good weight for a sword.
