Rating : Awesome Pilates Mat - Christina Batten, Nov 17, 2009
I've been using this as a Pilates mat for almost two years now and I'll never go back to using anything else. An absolute must have if you like to do floor exercises at home but have nothing but hard wood floors (even carpted floors aren't that great). Just the right amount of cushion and support for your back and your spine, but not so much that you feel like you're working out 'in bed'. I find it helpful to roll a grippy yoga mat over top during my workouts since this prevents the mat from 'stretching out beneath you' while transitioning between various positions. My mat has not lost it's shape or form and while it does roll up fairly thick, the travel strap makes transportation super easy. Love it.
Rating : Good for floor exercises, but be aware this is NOT a yoga mat - Happy Squishy, Oct 25, 2009
I have have had a Nike Yoga Mat for years, it was $49.99. Now I wanted a new one, I was glad the price went down to $25.00. Then I read some reviews that the newer model is not nearly as good as the old model. So I decided to try a different brand. I found this Danskin Deluxe Fitness Mat at Scheels. It looked pretty descent. It works great when I do situps, crunches, and push ups, i.e. anything as long as you don't stand on it. It really sucks as a Yoga mat. Because it is so thick and so soft it is hard to hold your pose. It slips and it tears down. I weigh 104 lb and I torn it down at the second session (45 mins per session). I still give it four stars because it is good for what it is meant for. Just be aware that this is not a Yoga Mat.

Love this mat. Very comfortable and easy to roll up and stow away. Use this for Yoga a few times a week and have never once complained about the confort. Great buy
Rating : Great Fitness Mat - N. Bassette, Sep 12, 2009
The thickness of this mat is great for working out with. Other mats are way to thin to be doing exercises that include lying on your side but this one is great for any workout.
Rating : Great mat! Soft and comfortable. - Random Reviewer, Aug 24, 2009
Great mat! I definitely found the reviews to be true on this one. It's soft and comfortable without being too squishy. I was worried because it's not SUPER-thick (there are thicker ones out there), but it's actually just exactly right. It's great for floorwork (abs, leg-lifts, etc.) and will probably work for yoga if you don't mind a slightly-soft surface for that (I don't). I ordered the blue one, and it's a nice color. I was not bothered by the strap being a separate piece (my old mat was like that too). I mainly use this at home and don't bother with the strap at all. But I don't think it'd be horribly inconvenient if I needed to use it. I'm not sure I'd want a strap or velcro attached to the mat anyway. This is great for my back and knees -- they don't bother me in the slightest when I'm using it. I always found the mats at the gym to be much too thin. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this mat!
