Ok, I had one or two of these that I had gotten at Sports Authority a few years ago. I also have about a dozen different street hockey puck designs. I like the ROUGHRIDER the best of all. I think I like it the best because it is weighted just right. I travels more like an ice hockey puck than any other street puck I have tried. These also seem resistant to cracking. I have yet to crack or break one. There is some liquid inside the outer ring that gives it some ballast. There are none of those little plastic pegs to fall out like Franklin's other street puck design has. I don't know why Franklin Sports named this the Roughrider though. Seems like the name of a gay porno mag...
Here's the bad news: Franklin has pretty much stopped making these. Amazon marketplace is the only place on the entire internet that I could find these. Ace Hardware in Brooklyn was selling them in cases of six. I bought 3 cases. They showed up in oil soaked cardboard boxes. Whatever. Can't play hockey with a box, so I threw the boxes away. The pucks are fine. I don't know if they have any left, but if they do you better act quick 'cause I might buy more before they're gone...
