Wrong Item - J. Shulman, Nov 14, 2009

I didn't even realize it until now but I have the wrong item. The ball I recieved is blue and has a hand pump, not foot pump.
I would like a price correction on my credit card.

I suppose I didn't pay close attention when it arrived because I was in a rush. I am a birth doula and I needed it to take to the hospital for a soon-to-be-mother. I literally grabbed the ball out of the box when it arrived and drove to the hospital so she could use it during her labor.

So, please...a price adjustment?

I am using it right now - Jannette Whippy, Nov 13, 2009

Overall I like this product. There are some problems: The pump is amazingly cheap-o and I needed a plus one to blow it up initially (someone to hold the pump nozzle up against the opening in the ball since the nozzle does not fit into the opening, it just rests on top and someone to pump the pump). Another minor annoyance is having to re-fill the ball. The plug is hard to remove, it has broken my nails and caused much consternation and minor pain. That said. I would still buy this product because it looks good, I've only had to refill it twice (at the beginning), now it seems to have settled into it's self. I use this as an alternative to my office chair, maybe I will use it as an exercise ball, but for now it just helps me be more comfortable and active while sitting at my desk.

Ball is fine, but pump is total crap - Customer, Nov 01, 2009

The fitness ball itself is fine - although it gradually loses air over time.

The main problem is the pump. The pump is complete crap. While pumping the hose will detach from the pump, you'll lose a bunch of air, you'll reattach the hose, and then the valve will pop off the other side causing you to lose even more air. Basically, it will take 5 times longer to pump up the ball than it should.

It's a good ball, but the pump will test your patience (and your ability to find small objects (the valve) that have shot off the pump half-way through use).

It works like a charm. - A Lewis, Oct 12, 2009

This ball works great. So far (I've had it a little over a month) I've only had to add air to it once, but it also gets used a lot by not only me for workouts but my 3 kids and husband for play too!

Good reminder to do good throughout the day - H. Chicas, Oct 06, 2009

I've been thinking of small practical ways to reset my bad behaviors. Seating on an exercise ball is one the easiest/fast to achieve. I've done it and while it's a little hard (not too much) for co-workers to see you seating on a ball. It is a good reminder to seat straight, stand up a little more than usual and helps with balance. I don't know much about balance tho' I don't think it's doing much for me in that regard. The white ball gets filthy fast. It may also get warm if I seat on it for hours at a time which then again reminds me to stand up and get water or something. I really recommend this product. 65cm is about 25.5" inches high. Which was a little taller than the chair I had. I imagine the bigger ball wouldn't have been apropriate in my case. The 65cm is a good height.
DO this:
- Seat on an exercise ball during the day
- Keep a food log
- Incorporate exercise in you routine 3-4 days a week.
- I bike or walk home from work. It takes 30-60 minutes.
- Buy an Heart Rate Monitor (I have the Polar F6) to track calories burned and of course your heart.
- Social support is good too. I do share my goals, successes and fails on twitter. It's less embarrassing than doing it in facebook and still it is real people (that you may not know that well) I think of it as of my weight watchers. I've lost like 7 pounds doing all of the above.
