Rating : Garbage - M. M. Mowla, Nov 19, 2009
This item is garbage. One of the end caps was already broken when I opened the box. Could not contact seller to request a new end cap. Terrible customer service.
Rating : Nice Piece of Equipment - Jeffrey L. Maynard, Nov 01, 2009
This piece of equipment is pretty sturdy and I am able to do a variety of exercises, especially with dumbbells. My only problem with this item is that the area that locks my feet when I do decline work was more padded.
Rating : Great bench for the money and limited space. - David, Oct 05, 2009
I don't have a lot of space for equipment, so I was looking for a bench that could fold up flat so I could lean it against the wall when not in use. I also didn't want to feel like I was going to break it when I sat on it with weights. This is the only bench I could find that met my criteria. I was impressed by how sturdy it actually was. For the price I thinks it is pretty unbeatable, but I can understand some of the complaints about it. I am 6' and have big feet and the foot pegs are a little awkward, but not unusable. A taller person might have more trouble, but I'm not going to fault the bench for that as it is impossible to design a one size fits all bench. I could also see someone taller complaining about the height, but I think this is also a consequence of being designed to fold flat. All in all, I couldn't find anything that would work better so I have no cause for complaint. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is more casual with their work outs or without a lot of space for equipment.
Rating : Great Bench For Small Spaces - RyanRH, Sep 01, 2009
This bench works great especially in small places. Out of the box took me about 1 minute to setup. The pegs to place your feet under are a little tight - it works though and I'm 6' 1". Changing to the different positions is simple. Bench is constructed well and seems pretty strong. The nicest part though for people who have limited space is the way it can fold flat for storage.
Rating : Not all we had hoped - L. Parks, Feb 09, 2009
We had bought another bench but gave it back as the incline was important but it did not work out well. The placement of the tabs to place your feet on an incline are poorly placed, at least for me. I cannot fit my feet under them and so it is barely my toes that are underneath them. Quite a struggle while lifting on the incline but also when getting back up with weights in my hands. I am 6'4" so that may be part of the issue, but I have not had trouble with this on other benches like this. The tabs also protrude way too far out. I have hit my ankle more than once on them getting up off the bench. I have no idea the purpose of having them go out so far. It is also a much more uncomfortable bench than our previous one--lower to the ground than others, not as much padding, very narrow seat. One more problem, it comes made out of the box, but the arm holding up the back of the bench sits off center and sometimes moves partially off the standard.
As a positive, it has not fallen apart after a month's use.
