Rival Electric Skillet - Pat D., May 02, 2008

The dome lid on this skillet makes it easier to cook larger cuts of meat. Although some assembly is required, it is simple to get together. The skillet can be fully immersed (without the temperature control) and this feature makes cleaning quick and easy . I would recommend this Rival Skillet.

Cooks great. Does what I expect this type of appliance to do. Problems in assembly were the only thing I give it reduced marks for. Top handle screws are too long, and handle feels loose, but screws are tight

I have been looking in stores, online, everywhere for this product. My old one was so good i had to have another one exactly the same. Great skillet! I was so happy to find it online at Amazon!

The Rival S12P 12-inch electric skillet was to replace an electric wok that I was using for all my frying / stir-frying needs. Aside from the fact that there is no area to put works-in-progress so that there is no heat applied (which a skillet wouldn't have), it serves even better than the wok.

Heating is even and the non-stick surface is excellent (be sure to follow the instructions on 'sweetening' the surface). I would highly recommend this product to anyone seeking a truly excellent electric skillet.

I gave it as a gift and the person is happy with it. The true test will be time, since the person I gave it to uses it every day.
