The Airdyne's dual-action arms help you work out your entire body. | The harder you pedal, the greater the resistance. The dual-action design, meanwhile, synchronizes your arm and leg movements to simulate your natural motion, helping you work your upper and lower body at the same time. Finally, the air resistance system creates streams of cooling air while you pedal, making for a comfortable home workout. The Airdyne includes a comprehensive computer console that provides feedback on time, distance, workload level, calories burned, calories per hour, heart rate, and RPM. As a result, it's easy to keep track of your overall fitness level. Other features include an extra-quiet chain drive system; built-in heart rate monitoring; an LCD display; an anatomically correct seat with extra padding; and a capacity of 300 pounds. The Airdyne measures 22.5 by 48 by 50 inches (W x H x D), weighs 96 pounds, and carries the following warranties: 30 years on the frame, three years on parts and electronics, and one year on labor and wear items. Rating : fulfills expectations - Martha R. Burt, Nov 13, 2009
works well. as I have arthritis and knee replacements and am not supposed to put pressure on my knees by exercising on my feet, this bicycle lets me keep exercising without doing myself any injury.

I love my Schwinn Airdyne. I had total knee replacement and this helps keep me new knee loose!
Rating : assembly instructions - t k, Oct 18, 2009
Recd my schwinn bike from amazon.com today.
The package was in good order. When packaged, the frame is lifted and placed in the cardboard box. I tore open the container from the narrower side to take the bike frame from the front.
Perhaps the packager might consider allowing the carton to be opened from the front as well.
Assembling is a little bit painful at best. Instructions are scarce. When assembling the leveling feet under the front and the rear, you have to lift the frame to get your hand undernneath the feet.
Assembling the right and left levers with the frame is straightforward if you have one of the 7/8" open ended wrenches with a long arm. The pedals are marked correctly to facilitate assembly.
But the tubes that allow connecting the computer panel to the frame are not marked as left and right; hence, it takes some guess work.
Haven't assembled the seat yet.
Also, how and where do I connect the cable from the computer cable (so that various readings rpm, heart rate, etc.) can be tracked.
As I use it, I will place more comments here.
Rating : Absolutely love my Airdyne!!! - D. Pick, Oct 05, 2009
I've had my Airdyne for many years, and I'm just getting ready to roll over 20,000 miles on it. It's a versatile tool. I use it for regular bicycle training, cardio, and interval use. It's a lot of money, but it's well built. I've had mine in the shop twice--once for a 10,000 mile tune-up, and another time when the crank broke, and that's it. It's time tested--not some glitzy fad that will end up in a garage sale.
Rating : Bike is OK...Assembly is a royal pain in the*** - J. C. Waggoner, Sep 14, 2009
There was NO assembly instruction or diagram contained in the shipment. While it is not too difficult to assemble, the lack of instructions and sequence of assembly made what should have been a one-hour assembly, a two-day affair...
