The Swiss Army Tinker Pocket Knife is a compact knife with a selection of 11 useful tools. Precision crafted in Switzerland, this black knife is constructed with an acid-resistant plastic and aluminum handle, and 100-percent stainless steel components that will hold their edge and last for years. The Tinker is lightweight and measures 3.5 inches when closed. This Swiss Army knife features; large and small blades, can and bottle openers, large and small screwdrivers, Phillips screwdriver, wire stripper, and reamer with sewing eye. Tweezers and a toothpick pull out of the ends of the Tinker and it is even equipped with a handy key ring. As with all Swiss Army knives, this knife comes with a lifetime warranty.

Sleak Black Swiss Knife Is A Hep Looking Blade - Trigger X, Jun 26, 2007

The black Swiss Army "Tinker" knife is functionally no different than the red one. Both are very sturdy knives that--like all Swiss Army knives--offer a wide variety of uses. I have owned several "Tinkers" and the blades have always been sharp, I have used them in different ways, and have never broken or damaged one. They are particularly nice because they are about 1/2 an inch thick, so they are not too bulky in one's pants pocket. The only real value difference between the black Tinker and the red is an aesthetic one; most people are used to red Swiss knives, so the black one adds a bit of distinction. The only thing I wish this knife had was the scissors instead of the "reamer with sowing eye" blade. (I know they have other Swiss knives with the scissors, but they either seem to be thicker than the Tinker or they have the scissors but not the Phillips screwdriver.) My one wish aside, this is a great sturdy, sharp, reliable knife that will comfortably fit in one's front pocket.

Has all the features I wanted in a small knife. I'd like a shorter version (3.5in) (perhaps should have gone for the mini version), but overall I'm pleased with my purchase.

I had one like it for many years before I finally lost it. This knife isn't too thick and is perfect to carry around all the time. The smaller ones just don't cut it and this price can't be beat.
