Skateboard Deck : What is it?
| Skateboard decks, also known as skateboard trucks, are thin sheets of wood or fiberglass compressed and glued together using a hydraulic press. They are the semi-flat surfaces where skaters place one or both feet when riding. They are usually held up by two T-shaped metal pieces added with a concave, tail kick, or a nose. Their length provides the skaters with stability, while their ergonomic design offers speed and maneuverability. |

Plys: Choose a skateboard deck made up of seven plys for the right combination of thickness and weight. One made up of nine plys is stronger than a seven-ply deck, but it is heavier, slower, and more uncomfortable to ride.
