Skateboard rails are the solid metal tubes used by skaters as grinding surfaces. They are elevated a few meters above the ground by fixed or adjustable metal legs. These legs are welded to solid metal base plates to prevent the rails from falling or tipping over. Skateboard rails serve as obstacles where skaters can slide along and perform various tricks and maneuvers.
