Boardshorts, also called boardies, are loose-fitting men’s swimwear that are longer than swim trunks and swimwear shorts, usually coming down to the knees. They are made of lightweight and quick-drying fabrics like nylon and polyester. They have durable waistbands, external pockets, and Velcro or neoprene fly closures. Boardshorts are very popular in North America, and they are commonly used in water sports like wakeboarding and surfing.
