Tennis sunglasses help tennis players see the ball better and therefore improve their game. They have special lenses usually tinted in shades of blue, gray, silver, orange, green, and yellow. There are two types of tennis sunglasses -- UV and optic yellow types.
UV tennis sunglasses are standard sunglasses that protect the eyes from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays. Good models have scratch-resistant lenses and are made of lightweight, wrap-style plastic.
Optic yellow tennis sunglasses
Optic yellow sunglasses have special lens filters that mute all other colors except optic yellow. They allow the user to see the tennis ball clearly from any angle and background. They usually come in chrome or black frames with green-, gray-, or orange-tinted lenses.
Wrap temple: Choose tennis sunglasses with a wrap temple construction that securely grip the back of your head. This design allows you to hook your sunglasses behind your ears and wear them like a headband.
Nose bridge: Choose tennis sunglasses with a ventilated nose bridge to prevent fogging up.
