A waterproof blanket is a special kind of blanket coated with nylon, Teflon, or urethane to prevent the absorption of water and repel natural elements such as wind, snow, and rain. Mid-weight
A mid-weight waterproof blanket is used when little warmth is required. It is breathable, allowing air to ventilate. It has about 200 grams of fill.
Heavyweight
A heavyweight waterproof blanket is used in the winters and during very heavy rains. It weighs 300 grams or more. It is 100% waterproof. t has little or no breathability at all.
